Elm Tree Meristem Explant
Tissue culture technique for virus elimination
To ensure the best possible results, we started by sterilizing the cuttings to eliminate any surface contamination.
Working in a laminar flow cabinet under aseptic conditions and using sterile instruments, we carefully extracted the meristems from the nodes, leaving the primordial leaves to enhance their chances of survival.
We adjusted the pH to 5.8 and enriched the growth medium with essential nutrients and hormones. The meristems were then cultured in a controlled environment for 4 to 6 weeks, promoting optimal growth and development.
