Specialist facilities for plant tissue culture and micropropagation
Our laboratory in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, combines sterile plant propagation facilities with controlled-environment growing systems and specialist rooting and acclimatisation equipment.
Designed to support both commercial production and applied research, our facilities allow us to establish, multiply, root and acclimatise a wide range of plant species, with particular expertise in challenging woody plants.
Our production facilities include dedicated growth containers, specialist LED lighting, aseptic transfer workstations and nursery propagation systems.
Media Preparation & Sterilisation
Specialist media preparation equipment, autoclaves and purified water systems support reliable culture media production and laboratory processes.
Controlled-Environment Production
Dedicated growth rooms and production containers with specialist LED lighting and environmental controls support different stages of plant development.
Sterile Culture & Microscopy
Laminar flow cabinets, aseptic transfer facilities and microscopy equipment support culture initiation, meristem isolation and microplant multiplication.

Production Capability
Scalable Production for Commercial Nurseries
In Vitro Microplants Ltd has production space designed to accommodate over 250,000 plants, with expansion potential to increase this capacity to more than 500,000 plants.
Our facilities support specialist propagation projects, conservation programmes and larger commercial nursery orders.
We offer flexible plant supply at three stages:
In Vitro Plants — microplants supplied in sealed culture vessels for customers to root and acclimatise in their own facilities.
Rooted Microplants — supplied in specialist hybrid trays covered with perforated foil, allowing customers to manage the final acclimatisation stage.
Acclimatised Young Plants — established in propagation trays and gradually acclimatised under controlled humidity in our growing rooms.
Production schedules, quantities and delivery arrangements are tailored to each species and customer requirement.
